Mazda Sales Thailand Co. Ltd. (MST) continues to be the only automobile company in the country to create continuous waves throughout the year. After introducing the award-winning all-new Mazda2 subcompact available with both 1,500cc Clean Diesel SKYACTIV-D and 1,300cc SKYACTIV-G benzene engine choices, Mazda maintained the momentum with the launch of the all-new Mazda BT-50 PRO and took Thai auto journalists to test drive the new model in Mongolia. Then in early November, we also created a big surprise by introducing the all-new Mazda CX-3 in grand style. The CX-3 is powered by a SKYACTIV-G 2,000cc engine and sets the benchmark in the compact crossover market in terms of driving performance, fuel economy, high-level safety and complete equipment list. Mazda hopes that the CX-3 will help the brand achieve total sales of 40,000 units in Thailand this year.

At the Motor Expo this year, Mazda moving ahead with its strategy of offering new and refreshed models on a continuous basis, with the launch of another three new models. The attractive model lineup has helped Mazda to increase market share dramatically and claim the third position in the highly competitive passenger car market.

Mr. Hidesuke Takesue, President of Mazda Sales Thailand Co. Ltd. (MST), said the Thai automobile market has passed its lowest point and is back on the path of growth, with automakers launching new models into the market and creating a positive atmosphere for auto sales. "Mazda, in particular, launched six new models this year and every model is successful. Customer feedback in Thailand and around the world point towards the SKYACTIV technology and KODO design philosophy, including Mazda's determination in developing automobiles that are eco-friendly and offer outstanding performance," he said.

Among the outstanding features of current Mazda products include the following.
v Full SKYACTIV technology ranging from engine to 6-speed automatic transmission, body structure, suspension and steering systems
v "KODO: Soul of Motion" design philosophy
v World-class i-ACTIVSENSE safety technology developed under Mazda's active and preventive safety philosophy

"All these technologies have been incorporated into every Mazda model that is being introduced today, especially the new compact crossover that has already won more than 3,000 bookings during the first three weeks after its launch, the all-new Mazda CX-3 Freestyle Crossover," he said. Pricing of the CX-3, which is targeted at customers with active lifestyles, starts at just Bt835,000 with free first-class insurance.

Next is a model for customers who are in love with the excitement of spirited driving – the two-seat roadster that is back to maintain its leadership in the sports car market. The MX-5 is Mazda's brand icon and one that brought the "Jinba-Ittai" (rider and horse as one) philosophy to light, with accumulated sales of over 1 million units around the world. The all-new Mazda MX-5 "The Iconic Best-Selling Roadster" is now available with SKYACTIV technology and is powered by the 2,000cc SKYACTIV-G engine. It is priced at only Bt2.7 million and comes with first-class insurance and 5-year/140,000km warranty.

Mazda's splendor doesn't stop here, and the company intends to reactivate the Thai auto market with the new Mazda2 model year 2016 with new design including LED headlights and LED daytime running lights, rearview camera and more. And as a gesture of thanks to Thai customers for their strong support with accumulate sales of as much as 17,000 units, Mazda has decided to start offering next year's pricing (to start on January 1), from today onwards. The pricing of the Mazda2 model year 2016 will start at Bt529,000 for the SKYACTIV-G engine and Bt654,000 for the SYACTIV-D clean diesel engine plus insurance. The lower price is due to the Mazda's best fuel efficiency and CO2 emission level in its class. Apart from the lower retail price, Mazda is also offering a higher equipment list, giving it excellent value for money.

Marketing Director Thee Permpongpanth added that Mazda continues to excite the small car market in Thailand. "The introduction of our latest sports subcompact passenger car, the Mazda2 model year 2016, will set the new benchmark for the Thai subcompact market. In order to communicate our message to target customers effectively and create a clear image, we have chosen the first brand ambassador for the Mazda2 SKYACTIV and that is Napat Siangsomboon, model and actor. Being the new generation with all-round skills, Napat is a student at the Mahidol University's international campus, majoring in Communications Design. Napat admires everything about design and is a rising star in the local showbiz, with many future projects in the making," he said.

Napat represents the new generation with varying lifestyles and outstanding character, clearly reflecting the image of Mazda2 users. A new marketing communications message will be relayed via a 30-second television commercial, which portrays the performance, technology and the functions of the car through the various activities of Napat in one day. It also reflects the ability of the Mazda2 to effectively respond to various activities without any boundaries. In addition, commercials will also be featured in printed media, radio and internet in order to swiftly reach customers both in Bangkok and around the country.
