Bangkok--25 Mar--Mazda Sales

Right after staging the official launch of the all-new Mazda3, Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co. Ltd. (MST) is now showcasing a wide array of products at the 35th Bangkok International Motor Show. Launched on March 18, the all-new Mazda3 was able to stimulate the passenger car market that has been rather inactive since the start of the year. Its arrival has impressed Mazda fans and general customers, resulting in a positive market response, making the Mazda3 one of the top choices in the C-segment. Apart from highly attractive design both inside and out, the Mazda3 also offers outstanding performance as well as fuel economy, thanks to its SKYACTIV technology.

The Mazda3 was developed to become a premium Japanese car with the latest safety innovations, including i-ACTIVSENSE and MZD CONNECT, which team up to offer an integrated safety and communications package. The outstanding value of the Mazda3 can easily be perceived by customers, giving it a very strong market performance since its launch. At the Bangkok International Motor Show, customers can own a Mazda3 with prices starting at only Bt833,000, and as many as 1,500 orders are expected to be placed.

Mr. Choichi Yuki, President of Mazda Sales Thailand, said that apart from highlighting the all-new Mazda3 in Soul Red to impress Thai customers, Mazda will also exhibit a full range of sporty models at the show starting off with the CX-5 SKYACTIV SUV that has received excellent customer response reflecting the performance and economy of the SKYACTIV technology from real users. There is also the limited-edition Mazda2 Racing Series “DARK EDITION” and the BT-50 PRO passenger car-like pickup.

“These new models and hard-to-resist sales promotions will help Mazda achieve success at the motor show with a sales target of 3,000 units, of which 1,500 units are for the Mazda3,” Mr. Yuki said.

For small car fans, Mazda is emphasizing its racing heritage by dressing up the Mazda2 Sport 5-door hatchback and the 4-door Sedan Elegance with sporty accessories all-round. The Mazda2 Racing Series 2014 “DARK EDITION” and racing kits boast hard-core sports upgrades that unleashes the true identity through its “zoom-zoom” driving characteristics. The special accessories, featuring a dark grey tone, are offered both on the exterior and interior such as the front grille, fog lamp frames, alloy wheels, black roof spoiler, black sideview mirror housing, as well as black leather and red stitching for the steering wheel and seats. There are two body colors to choose – True Red and Snowflake White. The retail pricing has been set at only Bt672,000 and only 600 units are available.

Ms. Sureetip La-Ongthong Chomthongdee, Vice President-Marketing, said this year’s motor show is exceptional due to the sporty models on display and the new design theme – KODO Design: Soul of Motion. “The new design is modern and more dynamic, and emphasizes the brand that differentiates itself from others. Mazda has also brought the latest technology like SKYACTIV including the SKYACTIV-G engine, SKYACTIV-DRIVE transmission and HMI module (Human Machine Interface), along with MZD CONNECT, Mazda’s latest communications system, which allows driver and passengers to connect online.

Mazda’s latest safety technology i-ACTIVSENSE has uplifted the all-new Mazda3 to the highest protection for passengers’ safety. The SCBS - SMART CITY BRAKE SUPPORT ensures a safety drive in the city with an automatic braking sensor at the front while a smart RVM - REAR VEHICLE MONITORING greatly assists driver to maximize safety when attempting to change lane.”, she said.

In addition, Mazda’s easy-own promotional campaign for this Motor Show makes it easier for Mazda fans to own Mazda vehicles. Highlights include a choice of 0 percent interest for Mazda2, forerunner Mazda3 and BT-50 PRO or 0.99 percent interest plus a complimentary first-class insurance for Mazda2 and BT-50 PRO, starts now until April 6 at the Bangkok International Motor Show and at 150 Mazda showrooms nationwide.
